Digitas Employees Raise Nearly $47K for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
Thursday, October 20, 2011 at 10:49AM This summer, a group of 13 Digitas employees hit the pavement and crossed the finish line of a half marathon or marathon, completed a triathlon or tackled a 100-mile bike ride- all in the name of charity! The Digitas team completed their events as members of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Team In Training program and raised an incredible $46,762 to benefit blood cancer research, patient services, education and advocacy. In honor of the team reaching this fundraising level, they were recognized as a top corporate team at the Team In Training Awards Dinner on September 20, 2011. Team captain Jeff Freedman accepted the award on behalf of the team.
As added recognition, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society has decided to present an additional award to Digitas to honor the efforts of their employees who fundraised and participated with Team In Training. Upon its receipt, the award will be displayed for all to see and will stand as a reminder of Digitas’ employees forming a united front in the fight against blood cancer.
